Fusion is a Japanese Restaurant that sits just under the Kuwait Towers. There is a small complex with a few restaurants inside. The Fusion restaurant is located upstairs on the top level. The restaurant was fairly small, maybe seats 100 people, and there is a panoramic view. Fusion has an all you can eat sushi buffet. The buffet also includes some hot main course meals. I would have to say that the sushi is not great. I truly feel spoiled living in the United States and having access to great sushi. The sushi at Fusion was grocery store sushi with an added kick. I literal feel like they bought grocery store sushi and threw some different things on it to pretty it up. They had at least fifteen different types of sushi but they all were pretty much the same. I was excited to eat the hot food because I felt a little cheaped out on with the sushi, but was also a bit disappointed. The hot food was fried rice, noodles and chicken (a sort of chow mien), baked white fish, and a chicken and beef stir fry of sorts. The best thing there was the white fish. My fiancé is from Michigan and was disgusted that they could call their fish white fish, but I found it to be the best tasting thing there. I truly feel that if this place is a talked about Japanese restaurant then I could open up a competing restaurant tomorrow and blow these guys out of the water. Our meals cost 5.9KD, which is very expensive. If we would have gotten a quality product it would have been a decent expense for all you can eat, but I really could not eat more than one of everything and had to use my water to swallow three of them. So I would not recommend the Fusion Japanese Restaurant because of their quality and price. I still think if your in Kuwait you should try it because it is good to compare restaurants. But only if your in a big group of people and don’t have a choice were to eat.
